What guitarexercise.com is

guitarexercise.com is an exercise vault for electric guitarists. Not a method, not a course — a deep, graded library of focused drills you can open and play in seconds: pick your techniques, get your daily set, fill the grid. Every exercise comes as interactive tab with a real synced backing track, a BPM slider and correct-pitch slow-down, so the practice loop is always the same: open → press play → reps.

Who's behind it

The site is built and run by Nikos T., an electric guitarist and working guitar teacher based in Greece. Nikos is a certified guitar teacher who prepares students for internationally recognised graded exams (grades 1–8) — the same graded thinking that drives this site's level system. He is also the creator of a guitar-education YouTube channel with over 25,000 subscribers and 4+ million views, where he has published hundreds of note-accurate tutorials and tabs for players around the world.

Why it exists

After years of teaching, one pattern kept repeating: students don't fail for lack of songs or theory — they fail for lack of structured reps. The exercises that actually build technique are scattered across books, videos and forgotten PDFs, with no consistent grading and no way to measure progress. guitarexercise.com fixes that: one place, one difficulty scale, one metric that matters — the BPM you can actually play it at.

How the library is graded

Difficulty here is a property of the exercise, not the technique. The same lick at a faster subdivision or higher target BPM is a different, harder entry — so the levels stay honest and your progress is real, not estimated. The grading draws on international graded-exam frameworks and on what works in actual lessons, week after week.

Free and premium

The free tier is a genuine practice tool — full playback, backing tracks, slow-down, progress tracking — because a free tier that's deliberately crippled helps nobody. Premium adds a deeper study player and the premium library for players who want more. See Pricing for the details.
